Bees are busy beings, buzzing about in the great beyond. They conceal the details of humanity’s demise, or do they just forget to mention it? They are now the winged overlords flying to infinity and beyond, but instead of being motivated by greed and expansion, they have set out to make their immediate surroundings (grown as they have, the result of being capable of space travel) a better place. Because that’s what being a bee is all about!

For centuries, the earth really was a cold dead place. We hid in shelters from the frost and built our lives underground. We yearned for daylight, for fresh air, for other sensations we once took for granted. We heard rumours about the upper world thawing for months, but they have turned out to be true. After ages, we can finally walk among the ruins of our ancestors and revive the surface world.

It’s the witching hour, and it seems every coven this side of Salem has gotten the message. With the Enchanted Throne vacant, witches circle it like vermin around a bubbling cauldron. Witches are drawn to places of power like moths to a flame; their rituals and incantations are catalyzed by ancient powers that lurk in unsuspecting surroundings. Nothing is as tempting as the promise of power.
