Cartographers Heroes – a solo review

Not sure how it happened (or is happening), but the lands of X keep changing. Luckily for you, an aspiring cartographer with slightly more experience than the previous time, this means staying employed is the least of your worries. However, talks of volcanoes and monsters, not to mention the ever-erratic whims of Queen Gimnax, aren’t very encouraging, either. The new-found heroes sure help against monsters, but not so much against nature’s fury and the wrath of your monarch!

Cartographers – a solo review

All hail Queen Gimnax! Can you believe it? Your Royal Highness has deemed you fit to map the lands of the kingdom of Nalos. Grab your best feather pen and your travel ink bottle and go out there and explore! Just beware of nasty baddies – the roads aren’t safe anymore. Which is probably why your services are needed in the first place. Ah well, don’t worry about that now – if you come back in one piece, Queen Gimnax might just bestow her eternal gratitude upon you!

My top 10 for Spiel 2019

This year will mark the first time I visit Spiel, Europe’s largest board gaming convention, in Essen. Me and a friend are going for two days, so we need to prioritize what to see and where. If you didn’t know it – Spiel is huge. Something wouldn’t be right, though, if I didn’t make a list for it. Here are the 10 games I really want to see and/or bring back home.
