Black Orchestra – a solo review

As the Great War rages on, the world was never so black and white; good and evil, on opposite ends of the spectrum. Even within the lair of evil, all hope is not lost as they question their tyrannical leader. You are one of those; hungry for power, perhaps, or blinded by wealth, but no longer oblivious to the truth. Hitler must be stopped, and it is up to you and your fellow conspirators of the Schwarze Kapelle – the Black Orchestra.

20 Strong – a solo review

If someone were to say that they had an idea to create a game system to mimic a standard deck of cards, I’d call them audacious, overly ambitious, and perhaps a little bit mad as a hatter. Well, Chip Theory Games have made that claim in all but those exact words, and if any company is audacious, overly ambitious, and a little bit mad as a hatter, it’s these fine folks. Instead of a standardized set of cards, we have a standardized set of 20 dice (hence the name) and plug-and-play decks of cards that all riff(le) off of the same formula. Amazing, or absurd? Ingenious, or idiotic? 20 Strong beckons us to find out together.
